The Asus Eee PC 1000HE has all the best features of the other leading Netbooks plus a 9.5 hour battery, the new faster Intel Atom N280 processor, and a great keyboard, all for less than $400. This is the first Asus Netbook with a standard keyboard layout. All prior models had the right shift key all the way to the right and it took a bit of getting used to. Thank you Asus! The Asus Eee PC 904 has virtually the same specs as the Acer Aspire One 8.9 inch 6 cell but it has a larger more comfortable keyboard, you can easily upgrade the memory to 2GB, and it's less expensive at just over $300. The Aspire One can only be upgraded to 1.5GB and the upgrade itself is a major undertaking. The Aspire One does have a few advantages though. It is slightly smaller and comes in five colors where the 904 only comes in black. In the end you get more for your money with the Asus Eee PC 904. |

The Asus Eee PC 901 has a 6 cell battery and a 12GB Solid State Drive (SSD) where all of the competing products from Dell, HP, and Acer either have a 3 cell battery or an 8GB SSD or both. Competing 6 cell models with comparable or larger SSDs are significantly more expensive. The Asus Eee PC 901 is currently selling for less that $300 which is an exceptional bargain. |
